Co-working for Artists and Writers

I’ve found that co-working sessions offer just the right amount of gentle accountability and community for those of us who spend long hours alone in the studio.

They help us show up and do the work we love, instead of getting caught up in distractions and then feeling guilty about not working.

Less shame and more creation, please.

On that note, I’d like to invite you to Co-working for Artists and Writers, open to anyone who is working on a project.

Here’s how it works

  • You can sign up for the free session here and receive a Zoom link.

  • We’ll gather on Zoom.

  • 5 minutes intro – people can speak briefly about what they’re working on if they want to;

  • 50 minutes of work time (muted, cameras on or off, your choice);

  • 5 minutes closing – people can share how it went for them and to say goodbye.

That’s it. It’s easy.

Cameras can be on or off, your choice, and speaking at the beginning and end is optional. We are all muted during the 50-minute work period.

I hope you can join us. It’s pretty fun.

Also, my friends with anxiety, you don’t need to worry about whether or not you know anyone who might attend. This isn’t a social hour, and you won’t be expected to show us your work or read the rough draft of the poem you’re working on.

If you’re wondering whether your art or writing is good enough, or if you’re “qualified” to attend because maybe you’re not a professional creator – yes. Your work is good enough. You’re welcome to join us.
